Tips 2 for fitting into your wedding dress

So you have carefully crafted your plan and the vision of you in that gorgeous dress is fixed in your mind.

We suggest you check out tip 2 to make sure your plans are not thwarted at the first hurdle.

Tip 2 of 10 – Share your plan Share your plans

Ok so you have created your shiny new plan and you are rearing to go, but if those around you don’t know what you’re up to how can they support you or even make sure that they are not hindering you?

Let your honey bun, friends, family and colleagues know your plans, if someone is likely to be impacted by your plans or has the power to impact said plan by throwing a spanner in the works!

Be sure to give them a preview to make sure everything remains on course and you can get all the support and encouragement you need.

10 Best tips for fitting into your wedding dress

Ok so your boo has popped the question and you are slowly coming down from cloud 9. Thoughts are racing through your mind, what colour scheme will you go for, what venue, what dress and then it dawns on you… The type of dress you want to sashay down the aisle in, will require you to kick of a fitness regimen!

You may have started your workout routine but are finding that the demands of planning a wedding are increasing day by day and your desire to invest time and energy into yourself to achieve your goal of fitting into that dress are falling by the wayside? Are you a member of the “Time Poor Bride to be Community?” Yes we feel your pain!

But your friendly wedding advisor A-Picture Photography has 10 fab tips for how you can get into that dress by sneaking in opportunities to get you exercising with out even giving it much thought! We will be sharing a tip each day for the next 10 days so be sure to check back to make sure your dress game is tight!

Tip 1 of 10 – Create a workout plan Diary

You will need to invest some time into producing a written plan for your fitness programme. A plan written by yourself and in accordance with your lifestyle will be more achievable as only you know what you can commit to; furthermore the fact that you have produced it will make you more accountable.

You will need to be very specific; when are you going to workout? How long for? What activity will you do? Be very clear what your intentions are and don’t leave anything to chance.

You need to be determined, strategic & disciplined in how you go about this – Keep a picture of a wedding dress next to your plan for added motivation.

St Paul’s London | Nicole & Chris Engagement Shoot

St Pauls London | Nicole and Chris EShoot Nicole & Chris are dream clients, they are super easy to get on with and have a real appreciation for the work we do, which makes us want to do & give more!

We met up on Father’s Day in sunny central London. We sat and discussed their progress with their wedding plans over lattes and then proceeded to work on their wedding photography timeline planning. We love guiding our clients and sharing our knowledge and experience to ensure that their day goes smoothly. There was lots of giggling and excitement as we worked out the logistics of it all and all I will say is if we get an image of Chris running for the bus in his wedding suit I am guaranteed to go viral lol. St Pauls London | Nicole and Chris EShoot42 The couple opted for the back drop of the city as they wanted to get variety in the images we provide to them, given that their wedding pictures will have lots of greenery this was a perfect decision. St Pauls London | Nicole and Chris EShoot56 Nicole went for a chic look with a black and white patterned dress. Her locs were fabulously styled to perfection. The colour of her hair worked perfectly in the sun light and added a flash of colour to the dull backdrop of St Paul’s Cathedral.

Chris went for a smart preppy look, sporting a crisp white shirt under a knitted grey slip over tank top. This couple clearly considered their outfits as they complimented each other perfectly; the pattern on Chris’s tie even had a similar shade to Nicole’s hair colour – Love it! Weather in London can be very changeable so we are always happy when we can have a shoot and not be impeded by the weather.

This couple are very much in love we thought it was super sweet how Nicole took time out to moisturise her hubby to be & make sure that he was looking fab for the images. We observed Chris being really considerate and helping Nicole up steps in her heels – We love it when couples are openly caring toward one another – that love and caring is really picked up through the camera. Nicole & Chris will become Mr & Mrs in August and we are as excited as the happy couple. We have connected with this them and are really excited to be a part of making their day special! Crystal Palace|Candice & Leroy

Crystal Palace|Candice and Leroy The day had arrived to carry out Candice & Leroy’s engagement shoot and there was a high level of uncertainty as to whether or not they would go through with it! Candice had mentioned a number of times that she did not feel comfortable in front of the camera and was openly nervous, which was now inadvertently making Leroy slightly uncomfortable.

We explained that the process would prepare them for the big day and ensure that those uncomfortable feelings and awkwardness would not be a factor on the wedding day as they would know what to expect. Most importantly engagement sessions are an opportunity to get away from the stresses of wedding planning and have fun with your loved one. Crystal Palace|Candice and Leroy Now you will clearly see from the images that this couple turned out to be absolute naturals! The camera loved them and their love for one another was so easy to see that they made our job super easy!

The weather was a gorgeous surprise, which is always nice. Rain had been forecasted but we decided to roll with it nonetheless and boy are we glad we did.

Crystal Palace park in South East London was the perfect backdrop for this couple. It offered us some fab features which we fully exploited. The shoot benefited from the greenery of the park setting, interesting architecture, and a fab old fashioned English red phone box – This was a photographers dream location! Crystal Palace|Candice and Leroy Candice & Leroy switched up their outfits, changing into a more casual style; and again complementing each other so perfectly. Denim & clean trainers are always a winner in our eyes! Crystal Palace|Candice and Leroy This couple ended up being so comfortable with the camera and were open to our ideas, so much so that we were even able to get in a fun multi-shot! Crystal Palace|Candice and Leroy The highlight for us was at the end of the session the bride to be remarked that she was happy that she had gone through with it and was no longer worried about being photographed on her wedding day. She even went as far to say she was now looking forward to that element of her day. That for us was the butter cream on top of our red velvet cupcake! Fabulous images and a bride who is excited to work with us, what more could you ask for!?!?

Pembroke Lodge | Yvonne & Floyd’s Engagement Shoot

Pembroke Lodge| Yvonne & Floyd Engagement Shoot We met Yvonne & Floyd at their wedding venue; Pembroke Lodge in Richmond to carry out our site visit, work through the timings for their day & carry out their engagement shoot; yes we wanted to get the most from our time together! We caught up in one of the Georgian tea rooms over a pot of tea and heard all about how their wedding plans had been progressing. We love getting together with our clients, we have regular engagement with them all and feel like old friends by the time we come to the engagement shoot. Pembroke Lodge| Yvonne & Floyd Engagement Shoot Yvonne & Floyd came dressed to impress. Yvonne wore a gorgeous dress with a beautiful floral print and Floyd rocked a dapper suit – This couple were looking a million bucks and were ready to put us through our paces!

Pembroke Lodge was the perfect setting for an engagement shoot, it offered beautiful ariel views. With the lodge being positioned on a hill we were able to get fantastic images of the couple with a backdrop of the landscape.
