About Me

Hello my name is Raymond (aka A-Picture or A-Pic) and I own my very own time machine!

Each picture I take has the power to instantly transport you to any time or place in an instant. A picture is so much more than just an image on a screen or on photo paper; it’s a moment in your life that you physically can never get back. That’s what makes my job so special; I am here to catch all those special moments, on the biggest day of your life. I help to keep your experience of the day alive, with no loss of detail over the passage of time. Ultimately I give you your very own time machine, which you will want to hop into on a regular basis.

Officially my photography journey started 3 years ago on a warm summers evening in the garden with my then fiancée, we were discussing our purpose for being here; very philosophical I know, when it came to me, my purpose was to use my passion for photography to preserve memories, feelings and experiences, to allow people to look back on them in times of need, distress, or grief and be instantly reminded of a happier time – My purpose was to be the memory catcher who happens to have a time machine!

My fiancée Chelena recently became my wife and we have two beautiful children Rai and Zach, whom I constantly photograph! My family means everything to me, and they have helped me to develop my photography skills, but most importantly they remind me how special those transient moments really are. The day I stop smiling when I see my pictures of them, will be the day I put my camera down!

I have done many different types of photography but nothing comes close to wedding photography, it is a joy and a privilege to be a small part of one of the most special days in a couple’s life. Pictures are memories in the palm of your hands and I fell elated to have the power to give your memories eternal life for generations to come.

Each wedding or portrait I shoot I set out to capture the essence of that day, in the form of a collection of moments, I don’t believe in too much posing, life and moments never stand still so why should you? My aim is for you to enjoy your day without me buzzing around asking you to move here and there, I enjoy catching those special glimpses you thought no one saw or that embrace of old friends reuniting, or the child having a boogie on the dance floor, completely enjoying the moment.

I hope my journey with you will be an amazing one, that will never end, I guarantee that each time you look back on the moments I have captured, you will have a smile on your face as you are transported back in time.

Crystal Palace|Candice & Leroy

The day had arrived to carry out Candice & Leroy’s engagement shoot and there was a high level of uncertainty as to whether or not they would go through with it! Candice had mentioned a number of times that she did not feel comfortable in front of the camera and was openly nervous, which was now inadvertently making Leroy slightly uncomfortable.

We explained that the process would prepare them for the big day and ensure that those uncomfortable feelings and awkwardness would not be a factor on the wedding day as they would know what to expect. Most importantly engagement sessions are an opportunity to get away from the stresses of wedding planning and have fun with your loved one.

Now you will clearly see from the images that this couple turned out to be absolute naturals! The camera loved them and their love for one another was so easy to see that they made our job super easy!

They looked fantastic in their choice of outfits and complemented each other perfectly – We loved that the couple had give thought to their look and as a result have got some amazing images.

The weather was a gorgeous surprise, which is always nice. Rain had been forecasted but we decided to roll with it nonetheless and boy are we glad we did.

Crystal Palace park in South East London was the perfect backdrop for this couple. It offered us some fab features which we fully exploited. The shoot benefited from the greenery of the park setting, interesting architecture, and a fab old fashioned English red phone box – This was a photographers dream location!

Candice & Leroy switched up their outfits, changing into a more casual style; and again complementing each other so perfectly. Denim & clean trainers are always a winner in our eyes!

This couple ended up being so comfortable with the camera and were open to our ideas, so much so that we were even able to get in a fun multi-shot!

The highlight for us was at the end of the session the bride to be remarked that she was happy that she had gone through with it and was no longer worried about being photographed on her wedding day. She even went as far to say she was now looking forward to that element of her day. That for us was the butter cream on top of our red velvet cupcake! Fabulous images and a bride who is excited to work with us, what more could you ask for!?!?

We are so looking forward to photographing this wedding in July, we are quietly confident that the images will be stunning!
